Transitions have just launched their latest version offering the fastest photochromic (react to light) lenses on the market. 

By incorporating a new super-charged dye, GEN S™ lenses now activate within 2 seconds, adapting from clear to category 3 darkness within 25 seconds. Even more impressive is that it is capable of fading back to clear in just about two minutes, which is twice as fast as the previous Generation 8 technology.

This instant reaction means wearers can enjoy a smooth transition from various environments with minimal visual disruption. Confident, their GEN S™ lenses are protecting their eyes from UV and UB rays in any level of light and enjoying a much faster feedback time in darker settings.

Along with visual comfort and clarity, GEN S™’s speedy transitions offer multiple eye health benefits to the wearer. Reports show a 39% increase in faster vision recovery from bright light, a 39.5% improvement in contrast sensitivity, and enhanced colour consistency.

Speaking of colours, Transitions® GEN S™ has also delivered another striking colour shade to their range with a deep Ruby (as shown on the photo above). Along with the classic colour tints, Amber, Brown, Amethyst, Emerald, Graphite Green, Grey and Sapphire. These colour options are available accross the range in single vision and varifocal lenses.
